Python Cartographic Library (PCL)
Homepage: http://trac.gispython.org/projects/PCL/wiki
Last update: 2006-11-08 11:59:56
The Python Cartography Library, or PCL, is a package of modules for rendering GIS data from a variety of backends into maps. Its mission is to be the best possible Python interface to open source GIS software such as PROJ.4, GEOS, GDAL, OGR, and MapServer, and to be easy to use with Python web application frameworks as well as with matplotlib.

Cartographic Objects for Zope (ZCO)
Homepage: http://zmapserver.sourceforge.net/ZCO/
Last update: 2007-11-23 21:23:04
ZCO is a Framework for mapping applications and cartographic object management systems.
Cartographic Objects for Zope, or ZCO, is the first application using the Python Cartographic Library. ZCO compares to ZMapServer as the PCL compares to MapServer's mapscript module; more powerful, more flexible, and better suited to developing production mapping services and cartographic workflows.

OpenGPS
Homepage: http://www.gfz-potsdam.de/pb1/staff/gbeyerle/opengps/index.html
Last update: 2006-02-01 01:53:50
OpenGPS consists of two tools:
OpenGPSRec is an implementation of OpenSourceGPS adapted for a PCI bus interface. The OpenGPSRec receiver hardware is based on the CMC Superstar GPS module and the PROTO-3 PCI prototyping board from Kolter Electronics. TTL logic interfaces the GPS module to the PROTO-3 data bus.
The OpenGPSRec receiver software runs on the real time operating system RTAI-Linux.
OpenGPSSim is a simple GPS simulator also based on OpenSourceGPS.

Prune is a java application for managing coordinate data from GPS systems. It loads data from arbitrary text-based formats (tab-separated or comma-separated file), display the data (as top-down view, altitude profile and rotatable 3d view), edit the data (for example delete points and ranges, sort way-points, compress tracks, edit fields), and save the data (in various text-based formats). It can export data as GPX, KML/KMZ or in Povray format. It can automatically correlate photos with GPS coordinates.
