    The JEEPS library is intended as both a library and a development system for GPS and related software. It consists of documented C functions for communication with GARMIN GPS devices and for post-processing of the information received. The library also contains functions for conversion of datums using Molodensky and cartesian methods and mapping functions including transverse mercator projections. The UTM coordinate system is implemented as are other more parochial systems including the UK Ordnance Survey national grid (with map codes). Eighteen map projections and their inverses are given. NMEA data capture routines are included. An application (program) is distributed with the library in order to show the library functionality and how to use it.

    The OGC Symbology Encoding standard (often called SLD) defines a XML language to define styling rules for geodata. AtlasStyler is a Java/Swing WYSIWYG application which simplifies the creation of these rules. The user can load point, line of polygon features (only ESRI Shape at the moment) and define their appearance. No XML or SLD/SE knowledge is required. Methods like 'classification by unique values' or 'colorization of quantities' are provided. The classbreaks for quantitative data can be set manually or calculated with 'equal interval' or for a given number of quantiles. AtlasStyler is connected to an online database of open-source SLD/SE symbols and the user can save/load his own artwork locally. The latest version of AtlasStyler can always be started via JavaWebStart from the (german-only) web page. AtlasStyler is based on Java 1.6 and Geotools 2.4 The application is localized in German, English and French.

    The Atlas-Geopublishing-Framework is a set of Java applications to simplify the publication of digital, multimedia and multi-language atlases. The Geopublisher application allows to compile geodata and multimedia content to digital atlases, while constantly supporting the creator in translating meta-information into any number of languages.These multi-language atlases can then be exported as readily runnable Java-Web-Start applications. They can be burned to a CD/DVD/USB-stick or published online without any further modifications. Geopublisher targets producers of geoproducts that want to distribute their findings without digging too deep into related IT technologies. Geopublisher is based on Geotools 2.4 and Java 1.6. It supports visualization of large raster images as tiled image pyramids. Regularly updated versions of the Geopublisher application, as well as examples of atlases created with it, can be started directly via JavaWebStart.
